In Round 15 the Werribee Devils Youth League Men (5th, 11-7) travelled to take on the Whittlesea Pacers (2nd, 14-4). Their last meeting was in Round 5 and the Pacers got up 88-82.

TJ Remy and Jesse Harberger were in good form for the Devils early on, but the Pacers held the upper hand, with two separate runs of six consecutive points. It was still a closely contested quarter, with the biggest margin being five points.
Remy (five points, four rebounds, two assists) and Harberger (five points, three rebounds) led the way, supported by Kodi Opetaia and Mangar Manyang with three points each.

Travis Dale struck first for the Devils, while Kearing was in good form for the Pacers up the other end, scoring his team’s first seven points. In the first four minutes the Pacers maintained their lead. Josh Zamperoni kickstarted a 9-0 Devils run with a three-pointer and was joined by Mitch Alush and Bubby Luxford. The Pacers regained the lead with five points from Zeverona and Muscat, but the last two minutes belonged to the Devils. Opetaia and Alush combined for six points, giving the Devils the lead at half time. Alush led the Devils scorers with six points, joined by Zamperoni (five) and Opetaia (four). Luxford and Remy grabbed three rebounds each, and Remy added two assists.
The Devils started well in the third quarter; Alush and Zamperoni combined for the first six points, extending the Devils lead. However, the Pacers regrouped and outscored the Devils 17-6 over the next four minutes, taking back the lead. Opetaia came up big, scoring four consecutive points and getting the Devils the lead back with 1.47 to go. That turned out to be the last score for the quarter, giving the Devils the lead at the last break. Remy, Alush and Opetaia had four points each for the Devils and
Zamperoni had five rebounds.

Remy and Zeverona traded three-pointers in the first minute then the Devils opened the game up with a 9-0 run, seven of those points coming from Alush. The Pacers then got within four points thanks to Muscat and four free throws from Zeverona, courtesy of two tech fouls on the Devils bench. Free throws from Harberger and Luxford were countered by a three-pointer from Butera, making the margin three points. It was still four points the difference with 1.31 to play, before Alush scored a basket, and he and Luxford added two free throws each. In the end, the Devils walked away with a hard-earned 10-point victory.
Alush finished with 15 points for the quarter and Harberger contributed five points and three rebounds. Luxford also grabbed five rebounds.
In Round 16 the Devils (5th, 12-7) travel to Broadmeadows to face the Hume City Broncos (11th, 3-16). The two teams last contest ended in a 76-67 victory to the Devils back in Round 7.
