The Werribee Devils Division One Women continued their excellent start to the 2017 season with a solid 79-58 road win over Hawthorn Magic in Round 4. Sumar Leslie put in another Big V Blue Carpet performance, with Roey Cox arguably unlucky to miss out as well with a great all-round defensive game.

The Devils won every quarter, setting the tone with a 17-7 first term. The Magic stepped up their scoring in the middle stages but the visitors had all the answers, with Jessy Price spearheading a huge third term which yielded 27 points.

The Devils (1^st, 5-0) have won by an average of 21 points and have lost just three quarters in their first five games. They return to Eagle Stadium after Easter to host La Trobe City Energy (7^th, 2-1).
